Ronald Altman, Sr.

Ronald Matthew Altman, Sr. 74 of Arnoldsville, Georgia, passed away March 4, 2016 at his residence.
He was born September 1, 1941 in Waycross, Georgia to Samuel Matthew and Lillian Waunell Brock Altman. He served his country in the United States Navy, Marine Corp and The United States Army. He attended Erlanger Medical Center Anesthesia Program in Chattanooga, TN and earned his BSN at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus Georgia.  He had previously been employed with Satilla Regional Medical Center and Charlton Memorial Hospital and later retired from Medical Center Anesthesia of Athens.  Ronald was past President of CCHS Athletic Boosters Club and the Charlton County Football Booster’s Club.
He is survived by his wife: Linda L. Altman of Arnoldsville, Ga.; Son: Ronald Matthew Altman of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters: Diane Altman Todd of Athens, Ga., Cindi Altman Lowe (Eric) of Arnoldsville, Ga; four grandsons: Matthew Altman, Tyler Altman, Jacob Todd and William Lowe; two granddaughters: Caitlyn Todd and Paige Lowe; Several other relatives.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Shepard Roberson Funeral Home from 5 until 7PM. Graveside services will be Monday at 1:00 PM in Traders Hill Cemetery with Rev. Sam Eason officiating.
