Mr. Thomas Hugh (Tommy Hugh) McLean, Jr., 87, of Sylvester died Monday August 3, 2105 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Prospect United Methodist Church in Folkston, GA with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. McLean was born on November 30, 1927 in Charlton, County to the late Thomas Hugh Sr. and Mary Lucille Brock McLean. He had lived in Worth County for the past 30 years moving here from Baxley. Mr. McLean was formerly employed with Lockheed Martin. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII. Mr. McLean was a member of the VFW post 4825 in Sylvester and enjoyed tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his brothers, Dr. Omer McLean (Pat) of Baxley, Dr. Frederick L. McLean (Carol) of Sylvester; sisters, Helen Newell of Folkston, Vanice McLean of Folkston, Margaret O’Hearn of Sylvester and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were, Mitch McLean, David Newell, Doyle Floyd, Mike McLean, Lanier McLean and Steve Riordan.
