Vernon Ray Scheider, Sr.

Vernon Ray Scheider, Sr. of Olustee, Florida passed from this life on August 4, 2022 into a place that is prepared for all those whose names are written in The Lamb’s Book of Life.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Betty (Green) Scheider, parents; Clarence and Estelle (Pipkin) Scheider, and 8 brothers; Gene, Robert, Thomas, Albert, Kenneth, Edward, Harold and Jackie Scheider.

Vernon was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he grew up and raised his family. He was a land surveyor, party chief and later owned and operated Scheider & Sons Concrete. After his wife passed, he moved to Baker County where he enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Osceola National Forest.

He is survived by one daughter; Donna Johnson,  his two sons;  Vernon R. Scheider Jr. and Donald Roy Scheider his brother; Cecil (Denise),  his sister; Carolyn Strickland, grandkids; Bradley, Amy, Gary, Jessica, Justin, Colt, Nikki and Dylan and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and many life-long friends.

There will be a life celebration at a later date.
