Vicky Simpson

Vicky Simpson, age 56, of Folkston passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System following a brief illness Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born during Hurricane Dora on September 6, 1964 in Jacksonville to the late Johnnie Belinda Drury AKA Grace Gertrude Holcombe and James Victor Ryan.

Vicky was a member of Racepond Church of God and was currently employed by Gowen Aldridge Insurance in Kingsland. She was a God-fearing woman that loved her family and friends to no end.

In addition to her mother, Vicky was proceded in death by an unborn brother and an unborn grandchild.

She is survived by her step-father, Grady C. Holcombe; her husband, James P. Simpson; her children, Collien M. Collins (Evan J. Berg), Justin (Chelsea) Horne, and Jessica M. Horne (Roy Lansdell); a step-son, John (Kimberly) Simpson; a sister, Tabitha J. (Brian) Guinn; 13 grandchildren, Tylana, Julianna and Leanna Collins; Bentley Brown and Liam and Delilah Horne; Stetson Horne and Brett, Dustin, Chloe and Jordyn Bair; and Scarlett and Oscar Simpson; and a host of nieces and nephews along with her church family and countless friends and extended family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19 at 10:00 AM at Racepond Church of God located at 3562 Carter Community Rd in Folkston immediately followed by burial services at Bachlott Cemetery located at 3097 Bachlott Church Rd, Nahunta, GA 31553.
