Wendall Wilbert Crews

Wendall Wilbert Crews, 76, of Hilliard, FL, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born in Folkston, GA, on June 1, 1947 to the late Randall Wilbert Crews and Bertha Hodges Crews. Wendall worked for the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. He retired from the City of Jacksonville Streets and Highways Department. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Boulougne.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister; Villa (Dean)Hodges, a brother; Jerry (Linda) Crews, and a sister-in-law; Wanda Jo Nelson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Donnie Jean Fowler Crews, 2-children; Randall W. Crews and Tammy (Tom) Lynch, 4-grandchildren; Cameron Conner, Ashley (Kyle) Morris, Macy Crews (David Melton) and Ashley (Sam) Skinner, 7-great-grandchildren; Ellie Skinner, Kyla Morris, Killian Conner, Cullen Conner, Ada Morris, CJ Melton, and Alex Melton, and 4-brothers-in-law; Mike(Margaret) Fowler, Kenneth (Peggy) Fowler, Scott Fowler, and Tim Fowler.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Pastor Jimmy Brannon and Pastor Paul Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Crews, Tom Lynch, Cameron Conner, Kyle Morris, Cole Hodges, Trenton Hodges, Troy Gill Jr. and Jarrett Hodges. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Hodges, Troy Gill Sr., Killian Conner, Cullen Conner, and Aldean Hodges.
