Zona Jeannette Hodges

Zona Jeannette Cowart Hodges, 83, of Folkston, GA passed away Friday August 4, 2023 in Savannah, GA.  She was born October 10, 1939 in St. George, GA to the late Claude Mack Cowart and Beulah Allen Cowart.  She retired from General Electric.  She attended Lake Butler Church of God before moving to Folkston.  She loved to travel and lived a long and full life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Willis A. Hodges; a sister:  Barbara Ann Chesser; a brother:  Jimmy Claude Cowart, Sr.; a brother-in-law:  Kenny Smith; nephews:  Danny, Neal, Ronnie, and Steve Chesser.

She is survived by her daughter:  Marlena Hodges; a granddaughter:  Victoria Hodges; a sister:  Betty Sue Smith; a sister-in-law:  Beatrice Cowart; a brother-in-law:  Grant Chesser and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

The family will receive friends Friday, August 11 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Emmaus Cemetery in St. George, GA.
